Context

We are looking for an experienced Systems Infrastructure Engineer for one of our clients to strengthen their Infrastructure and Production team. Within an IT department of about fifty people, you will join a Level 3 team of 4 people responsible for the build, N3 run, and security of the group, in a context of replacing a departing employee.

The environment is predominantly Microsoft, with approximately 500 servers, and is evolving towards open-source technologies (Kubernetes, GitOps, Ansible, Grafana). The IT department is also working on AI-related topics.

Your missions

The role is hybrid build/run, with a focus on run.

No on-call duty, but occasional interventions outside of working hours in case of critical incidents.

• Take charge of Tier 0 and Tier 1 for complex topics: identities (Active Directory, Entra ID, NPS, PKI), with the highest administration rights in the long term
• Administer Nutanix datacenter infrastructures, storage, and backups
• Manage Level 3 incidents (including security-related) and change requests
• Participate in infrastructure projects and the integration of new solutions, then provide support for them
• Contribute to automation and deployment
• Guarantee and improve the IT system's security level (operations-oriented security: messaging, firewalls, EDR…)
• Liaise with business teams and assist other IT department teams

• Identities: Active Directory, Entra ID, NPS, PKI, tiering model, bastion
• Virtualization / HCI: Nutanix (Prism Central, Files, Objects, NDB, NKP)
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Storage and Backup: Data Domain, Synology, HYCU
• Security: Fortinet, Cisco Email Security, SentinelOne, Defender for Identity, Varonis, Cloudflare
• Network: Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki)
• Cloud: Azure, OVH, Microsoft 365
• Tools: SCOM, Grafana / Prometheus, SCCM, Intune, Jira Service Management, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Power Platform
• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems and infrastructure engineering
• Essential experience with Tier 0 and identities: Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, NPS
• Experience with Nutanix datacenter infrastructures (a Nutanix certification is a plus)
• Solid understanding of networking, though expertise is not required
• Strong interest in security
• Ability to switch quickly between topics and from build to run
• All-rounder profile, curious and passionate: personal projects (homelab, scripts, research) are welcome on your CV
• Autonomous, proactive, comfortable communicating with business teams
• Technical English (occasional exchanges)
• Preferably have a vehicle
• A highly responsible technical role, with control over the core infrastructure
• A varied stack evolving towards open source and AI
