Projektdetails:

• You lead a cross-functional team of around ten engineers and QA specialists. You coach and mentor people, and you strengthen ownership, proactivity and a modern engineering culture — building a high-performing, self-organizing team.
• You take technical leadership for one of our established practice management systems for physicians (CGM ALBIS) — a C++ product on the Windows platform, built with Win32/MFC/MSVC, COM/ActiveX, Qt 6 and PostgreSQL, with C# in parts of the application and across our tooling, and connected to the established standards of the German healthcare system (KBV, gematik/Telematikinfrastruktur, HL7/FHIR). You stay close to the code through prototypes, technical deep dives and reviews, and you own the technical roadmap together with Product Management.
• You drive the architectural modernization of a large, long-lived codebase: introducing clear module boundaries and well-defined interfaces where functionality is currently tightly coupled, so that changes can be tested in isolation, teams can work in parallel, and components can evolve and ship independently. You continuously raise the technical bar — code quality, test coverage and delivery practices — and align it with our overarching engineering standards, without disrupting a product our customers depend on every day.
• You work closely with Architecture, Security and other product teams, ensuring consistency, reuse and clear interfaces across an integrated solution portfolio.

• Experience leading software development teams (around 10 engineers and QA specialists)
• Strong technical background in software development
• Experience driving engineering culture, team coaching and technical roadmaps
• Knowledge of technologies such as C++, Windows platform, Win32/MFC/MSVC, COM/ActiveX, Qt, PostgreSQL and ideally C#
• Experience working with architecture, security and product teams
• Remote work possible, with regular presence in Koblenz (ideally every other week)
