Technical Project Manager / DevOps

Project overview

Context

A French luxury house is looking for a technical project manager with a strong DevOps culture to take over an existing position within its Digital Projects department.

The mission covers a large and diverse portfolio of projects:

The AWS infrastructure is managed by an external service provider; the consultant is the preferred technical contact on the client side.

The consultant reports to the Digital Projects Tech Lead. They work with external development teams managed by the Tech Lead, as well as with business, security, and hosting teams.

Mission Objectives

• BUILD: new headless e-commerce platforms (Next.js, BigCommerce), Strapi + Next.js sites, and serverless integration flows on AWS.
• TMA: application maintenance for Drupal, headless Drupal, and WordPress sites.
• Hosting: management of sites hosted on AWS.
• Ensure the continuity of technical coordination for the entire portfolio, BUILD and TMA, immediately after the handover.
• Secure and stabilize application deployments across all technologies in use.
• Manage the hosting provider and act as the technical interface with developers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain a level of security and documentation that allows anyone to take over a task without depending on the consultant.

Responsibilities

The role is primarily a technical coordination role (approx. 60%), supported by operational DevOps practice (approx. 40%).

• Define technical requirements with the product team and translate them into work packages and tickets for developers.
• Report risks and urgent issues on BUILD and TMA to the Tech Lead to inform their decisions.
• Manage the TMA for Drupal, headless Drupal, and WordPress sites: ticket qualification, deadline tracking, version upgrades, and security patches.
• Manage the hosting provider: change requests, deployment monitoring, and commitment tracking.
• Organize and conduct application deployments: deployment plan, go/no-go decisions, communication, rollback plan.
• Keep documentation up-to-date: architecture, operating procedures, deployment runbooks, technical decisions.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage environment consistency (DEV, STAGING, PREPROD, PROD).
• Work on AWS serverless components: diagnostics, minor enhancements, review of changes proposed by the hosting provider.
• Ensure security monitoring: GitGuardian alert handling, rotation of exposed secrets, IAM rights review, regular meetings with our cybersecurity teams.
• Contribute to Level 2 support and production incident analysis.
