Assignment Description

We are looking for a senior Test Automation Engineer (level 4), corresponding to approximately 9 years of experience or more, for the Swedish Tax Agency's delivery for the Election Authority.

The Swedish Tax Agency is the host authority for the Election Authority and is responsible for the management, further development, and new development of the IT support used to implement and support Sweden's election processes. The assignment is of societal importance and places high demands on quality, stability, and security.

Development and management are conducted according to the agile framework SAFe. The delivery consists of approximately 80 employees distributed across 10 agile teams.

We are now looking for an experienced and engaged Test Automation Engineer who wants to take a leading role in test automation. You will belong to one of the SAFe trains with responsibility for driving and developing test automation work, while actively contributing to raising competence and maturity in the area throughout the entire SAFe train.

We are looking for someone with a strong passion for test automation and quality assurance. You thrive in a coaching role, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and have a documented ability to inspire and develop others. You are used to leading through influence rather than formal mandate and have experience establishing ways of working, guidelines, and best practices in test automation.

Information about interviews

If a candidate is presented to the client, the candidate must be available for an interview within seven (7) working days from the time the candidate has received a summons from Upgraded.

Security screening:

The Swedish Tax Agency is covered by security protection legislation, which means the assignment may be placed in a security class. This involves, among other things, requirements for security screening of the consultant and that a subcontractor must enter into a security protection agreement.

Before the security protection agreement can be entered into, the Swedish Tax Agency is obliged to conduct a suitability assessment of the subcontractor in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) Chapter 4, Sections 7-8.

The scope of the security screening will be communicated at a later stage in the selection process. The process for establishing a security protection agreement and conducting a security screening and any background check typically takes 8-12 weeks from the assignment award, but can take longer or shorter. If the assignment is placed in a security class, the assignment cannot begin until this process has been completed and a start date has been communicated by the client.

Requirements

Normally achieved after 9-12 years of work in the relevant role. A level 4 consultant corresponds to being at essentially the highest level in terms of knowledge and experience, etc. Working in a certain role or competence area for more than 12 years does not automatically mean a consultant achieves level 5.

Knowledge: high generalist competence, or very high competence within the relevant area, role, software, language.

Experience: has participated in large assignments within the relevant area and completed assignments with very high quality. Is a role model for other consultants at lower levels.

Leadership: takes main responsibility for leading a larger group, software, or language.

Independence: very high.

• The consultant must at least achieve competence level 4 according to the framework agreement:
• At least 9 years of work experience as a Test Automation Engineer
• At least 9 years of documented experience in developing and maintaining automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• At least 9 years of experience with test automation tools such as JUnit or equivalent.
• At least 9 years of experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
• At least 6 years of documented experience in coaching teams and establishing ways of working that enhance the team's capability in test automation.

• Pedagogical – Shares knowledge and coaches the team in test automation matters.
