Test Engineer Telecommunications

Project overview

You test how telecommunication networks function in practice and ensure that protocols and systems interact reliably. For this, we are looking for you for a long-term project at an established company in the industry. A large part of the work can be done remotely, and you will work in a well-coordinated team.

Responsibilities

• You create and execute test cases and prepare the necessary test data for them.
• You plan and design tests and further develop test procedures, including in the area of test automation (ideally with Gherkin).
• You document tests and regularly report on progress, the status of test cases, and open defects.
• You take on on-call duty in 3rd-level support (24/7, approx. 10 weeks per year).

Requirements

Advantageous are

• Sound experience in the telecommunications environment, especially in network-related testing
• Detailed knowledge of Telco protocols such as Diameter, RADIUS, SIP, and RTP
• Practical knowledge of Linux, DB2, and Wireshark
• Experience with test methods, test procedures, and test planning
• Very good German language skills
• Residence in Germany and the willingness and requirement for the Ü2 security check (preventive sabotage protection)
• Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, Ansible, and Vault
• Basic cloud knowledge
