Job description
We are looking for a Test Manager to manage the planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of application tests for ICT products within the Information Provision department. The role involves risk analysis, test planning, and reporting to project managers or product owners.
Project overview
- ZZP is allowed Within the Information Provision department, all ICT products from projects are taken into management. To test the quality and stability of these products in advance, test managers/test coordinators are deployed on various projects. It is never possible to determine in advance which project the work will take place on. This depends on the phase the projects are in. The test manager is responsible for planning, preparing, coordinating, and (partially) executing the tests of the applications; and reporting the results to the project manager or product owner. Performing Product Risk Analyses and processing them into a test strategy and plan Creating a master test plan The test manager partially tests themselves with the aim of preparing test cases; and providing adequate input on required rework; Advises on the automation of test cases based on the test approach used within the RVB; Creating a detailed test plan together with functional and application administrators, including test scenarios and test cases; Guiding data conversions and performing data conversion analyses; Coordinating with the business (users and administrators) on their role in the tests; Having new versions of the program installed on the O and A environments of the RVB; Coordinating the operational progress during the various test types; Coordinating with the business (users and administrators) on their role in the tests; Managing documentation; Organizing the necessary test capacity of the RVB (users and administrators); Coordinating the tester functional group; Standardizing the working method of the tester functional group; Preparing and chairing the test meeting; Preparing and chairing the test kick-off; Preparing and chairing the test evaluation; Supporting testers in logging findings in Jira Managing findings and assigning them to resolution groups Preparing and chairing findings meetings Collaborating with and reporting on the progress of the test process to the project manager. Requirements Candidate has a minimum of HBO work and thinking level Experience within the government Candidate has a minimum of 5 years of work experience with test management: planning, preparing, and coordinating test processes* (verifiable based on CV/motivation). * Test processes that affect the entire application landscape (50+ applications) Candidate has knowledge of and experience with test execution: preparing tests, creating and coordinating test scenarios and test scripts (demonstrable based on CV/motivation). Candidate has experience managing a test team. Experience with testing data conversions and performing data conversion analysis Experience with creating master test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts, testing existing applications, new applications, new processes, change processes, and/or upgrades, involving multiple business units (= more than 500 employees) and affecting more than 50 applications. Has knowledge and experience of JIRA and TMAP Experience managing a test team The extent to which the candidate possesses the required competencies and skills (verifiable in CV, motivation, and/or possible interview).
