Requirements

• At least 2 years of demonstrable practical experience in test automation within an agile environment (Scrum).
• Sound experience in testing REST and/or GraphQL APIs using relevant tools (e.g., Postman, Axios).
• Hands-on experience in frontend test automation (UI) for web and/or mobile applications.
• Demonstrable practical knowledge of working with Contentful.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices as well as automated build and deployment processes.
• Fluent English skills (project language).
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Nice to have

• On-site presence or residence in the Barcelona area (Spain).
• Practical programming or scripting skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
• Version control with Git.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools as well as basics in data analytics.

Project details

100% Remote possible (proximity to / onsite in Barcelona is an advantage)

Hourly Rate Range (Purchase Price): €35 – €38/h (all-in)

Project Description & Tasks

For our client, we are looking for a freelance Test / QA Engineer on a part-time basis. You will support an agile team in the conception, implementation, and execution of automated tests across web, mobile, and API layers:

Requirements Profile

• Building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites within the agile development cycle.
• Conception and execution of automated API tests for REST and/or GraphQL interfaces (e.g., Postman, Axios).
• Test automation in the frontend area (web and preferably mobile).
• Quality assurance in the context of the Headless CMS Contentful.
• Integration of automated tests into existing CI/CD and build pipelines.
• Start: date 1/2027
