Job description

Seeking an urgent Technical Project Manager in Toulouse to coordinate critical projects involving satellite observation algorithms, calibration roadmaps, and ocean treatment simulators. The role requires strong project management, team coordination, and technical understanding.

Project overview

To strengthen the management of several critical projects, the Technical Project Manager coordinates activities, teams, and partners, ensuring compliance with scope, costs, quality, and deadlines. The position covers three projects: the review of Level 1 product algorithms for a satellite observation mission, the definition of a calibration and validation (CalVal) roadmap for a future mission, and the creation of a simulator for ocean treatments.

On a daily basis, you will track progress, remaining work, risks, and schedules, and validate deliverables. You will lead technical discussions with internal teams, partners, and clients, in English when necessary, and negotiate adjustments to scope, effort, or schedule. You will notably contribute to preparing a workshop bringing together experts and the communication team. Weekly reporting and meeting minutes will be part of the expected deliverables. You will promptly report significant risks and deviations.

Profile Required

More than 8 years of experience in project management.

Mastery of project management and coordination of teams and partners.

Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Knowledge in software development, IT infrastructure, and software operation.

Rigor in monitoring activities, schedules, and reporting; ability to understand technical issues, adapt, and negotiate compromises.

Work Environment

A player in the space and Earth observation sector, the company contributes to satellite programs and the development of associated products and tools. Its activities mobilize scientific and technical expertise, particularly in data processing and the validation of measurements related to the ocean, atmosphere, and continental ice. The projects involve internal teams and scientific partners, in a demanding environment where the quality of deliverables, adherence to deadlines, and rigorous monitoring are essential.
