Project overview
Help build a digital service supporting the transformation of the UK's customs landscape.
Synergize Consulting is seeking two UI Developers to join the an important critical government programme, developing secure, accessible and user-focused services for traders, online marketplaces and carriers.
We welcome applications from experienced developers at different levels. Candidates will be assessed against SFIA 4 or SFIA 5, based on their skills, experience and responsibilities.
The opportunity
You will build intuitive interfaces that help users meet their customs obligations, working within a team delivering a secure and scalable government service.
Responsibilities
What we're looking for
Previous government digital delivery or accessibility experience would be beneficial.

- Developing responsive interfaces using React and Next.js.
- Creating HTML wireframes and prototypes to explore and validate user journeys.
- Using API mocking frameworks to support development and testing.
- Writing clean, secure, reusable code using a test-driven approach.
- Contributing to coding standards, code reviews and continuous improvement.
- Supporting live services and investigating production issues.
- Sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues where appropriate to your level.
- Strong commercial UI development experience.
- Hands-on React and Next.js expertise.
- HTML wireframing and prototyping skills.
- Experience using API mocking frameworks.
- A commitment to software quality, testing and user needs.
- Clearance: BPSS required, with a minimum of three years' UK residency.
