Project overview

For an IT migration project in the financial sector, we are looking for an experienced freelance specialist (m/f/d) with in-depth technical expertise in the migration of Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Technical analysis and support of Windows Server migrations
• Support for migrating Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2025
• Analysis of dependencies between applications, servers, databases, and interfaces
• Technical assessment of migration risks and compatibility issues
• Support for technical migration planning and creation of a schedule
• Technical support for existing project management and test management

• In-depth technical experience with Windows Server migrations
• Very good knowledge of Windows Server *
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, especially with version changes and migrations from SQL Server 2016 onwards
• Experience with complex application landscapes and their technical dependencies
• Experience with technical migration planning and error analysis
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Workload: approx. 50%
