Job description
Seeking a WordPress developer to migrate an existing Wix website to WordPress, including a relaunch and domain transition while preserving SEO visibility. The project involves full technical implementation, content structure conception, and handover.
Project overview
Project Goal:
An existing website on Wix is to be completely migrated to WordPress and set up anew. Hosting with Netcup is already in place. The domain transition should be carried out in a way that preserves existing Google visibility.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of the existing Wix website (structure, content, SEO, design, and target audience impact: colors, fonts) and development of a solution package based on it
- Conception of a clear, customer-oriented site structure that addresses two service areas (coaching and systemic organizational consulting for small teams) independently and without overlap
- Technical implementation in WordPress, including migration from Wix to Netcup
- Recommendation of a system for independent content maintenance (e.g., WordPress block editor), including an indication of ongoing costs
- Complete handover after completion (all access data, backup) and setup of automatic backups
Requirements
- Applications exclusively with reference links to projects that were technically and content-wise self-managed – applications without verifiable, live-viewable reference projects will not be considered
- Experience with fully responsive design
- Independent and complete project implementation as an individual, from analysis to ready-to-use handover
