Jobbeschreibung

Project overview

An international company in the energy sector is looking for a senior Strategic HR Business Partner to support the leadership of its Group Functions in Brussels. As part of a European transmission system operator group active in Belgium and Germany, you will help build a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure.

As trusted advisor to the Group Functions leadership, you translate business priorities into people solutions and make sure the Group Functions have the right organisation, the right talent and the right processes in place to deliver on their ambitions. You combine a strategic advisory role with hands-on ownership of the full employee lifecycle, working closely with Finance, workforce data stakeholders and HR colleagues in the entities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Group Functions leadership: act as strategic sparring partner and advise on organisational structure, workforce planning, team composition, talent decisions and organisational effectiveness
  • Attract leadership talent: define the sourcing strategy and steer the recruitment of leadership and key Group Function positions, from job posting, screening and interviews to offer management, while building a strong talent pipeline
  • Ensure a smooth employee journey: manage onboarding and offboarding for Group Function employees, including induction, system access, documentation, exit procedures and exit interviews, in close alignment with the prevailing practices in the entities
  • Govern workforce and headcount: own the FTE approval process, deliver workforce analyses and reconcile budget and headcount together with Finance and workforce data stakeholders, in line with the practices in the entities
  • Support executive reward: administer bonus, short-term incentive (STI), long-term incentive (LTI) and benefits processes for senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the Group reward frameworks
  • Develop talent and secure succession: facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development and internal mobility discussions, and embed the Group talent standards
  • Drive organisation design and transformation: bring methodologies, governance and change support, and guide the implementation of organisational redesign and transformation initiatives across Group Functions

Requirements

  • Senior, business-minded HR professional who feels at ease advising senior leaders and combines strategic vision with a strong sense of execution
  • Proven HR business partnering experience: solid track record as a (senior) HR Business Partner, ideally in a Group or corporate environment, supporting leadership teams
  • Broad HR expertise: hands-on knowledge of leadership recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, workforce planning, executive reward (bonus, STI, LTI) and talent and succession management
  • Organisation design and change: experience with organisational redesign and transformation initiatives, from methodology and governance to change support and implementation
  • Strategic and analytical thinking: ability to translate business priorities into people solutions and to work comfortably with workforce data, headcount and budget figures
  • Strong advisory and stakeholder management skills: credible sparring partner for senior leadership, able to challenge constructively and communicate clearly with Finance, HR colleagues and the entities
  • Discretion and integrity: handles confidential information, such as executive reward and talent decisions, with care and sound judgement
  • Proactive team player: works independently and in a structured way in a dynamic environment, while collaborating closely with colleagues across the Group to achieve shared results
