Accounting Manager Freelance

Project overview

Our client is a Groupement d’Intérêt Économique (GIE) in the banking sector, specializing in payment processing. It operates in a demanding and highly regulated environment. As part of strengthening its Financial Department, it is looking for its future freelance Accounting Manager for a duration of 6 months.

Mission:

You are the technical and managerial reference for the accounting function. You guarantee the reliability and compliance of the accounts of the GIE and its subsidiaries. You work in close collaboration with the head of financial controlling and internal and external auditors.

• Accounting Production and Closings
• Supervise the entry, control, and justification of accounts: clients, suppliers, fixed assets, bank, payroll, and intercompany.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings: consolidation package, appendices, cut-off, and analyses.
• Produce financial, tax, and regulatory statements within deadlines.
• Taxation and Reporting
• Prepare tax returns: VAT, Corporate Tax, CVAE, DAS2, etc.
• Participate in budget construction and cost monitoring.
• Provide reliable financial data to management and governance bodies.
• Team Management
• Organize work and plan closings.
• Train, support, and develop the skills of 3 accountants.
• Establish a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to procedures.
• Internal Control and Compliance
• Document and update accounting procedures.
• Guarantee financial security rules specific to payment activities, such as segregation of duties and GDPR compliance.
• Contribute to digitalization and financial process reliability projects.
• External Relations
• Be the primary contact for statutory auditors, banks, and external partners.
