Advisor Artificial Intelligence (AI) (interim)

Project overview

The municipality is temporarily seeking a specialist advisor for the development and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Developing vision, policy, and governance in the field of AI
• Advising on AI opportunities, risks, applications, priorities, and investments
• Mapping and further developing promising AI applications, business cases, and feasibility studies
• Guiding pilots and proof-of-concepts and evaluating the added value achieved
• Testing AI applications against legal, ethical, privacy, and information security aspects
• Coordinating AI initiatives and monitoring their coherence and progress
• Developing guidelines and providing knowledge sessions and workshops
• Advising during market research, tender processes, and supplier selection
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the past 6 years as an advisor, project leader, or program manager in the field of AI and/or data-driven innovation
• Demonstrable experience with starting and managing AI pilots or proof-of-concepts
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding AI, such as the AI Act, GDPR, and information security
• Experience with setting up or implementing AI policy and governance within a government or public organization (preferred)
• Experience with advising management, directors, and/or boards on AI opportunities and risks (preferred)
• Experience with increasing AI knowledge within an organization, for example through workshops or guides (preferred)
• Completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor's level in fields such as Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Public Administration, or Information Management
