AI Engineer / Agentic Developer (Freelancer)

Project overview

For a client project, we are looking for an experienced AI Engineer or Agentic Developer for the conception and implementation of AI-supported applications and agentic workflows. The focus is on Python, LangGraph, MCP, and RAG. Qdrant is used for vector search; Langfuse is used for observability and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Conception and development of agentic applications and workflows with LangGraph
• Development and integration of MCP servers and MCP clients
• Setup and optimization of RAG solutions, including data preparation and retrieval
• Integration and operation of Qdrant as a vector database
• Instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation of LLM applications with Langfuse
• Connection of APIs, data sources, and existing systems
• Ensuring quality, performance, maintainability, and traceable results
• Documentation and coordination with the business department and development team

• Several years of practical experience in development with Python
• Profound knowledge in the development of LLM applications and agentic systems
• Project experience with LangGraph and MCP
• Good knowledge in setting up RAG systems
• Experience with vector databases, ideally Qdrant
• Experience with Langfuse or comparable tools for LLM observability
• Confident handling of REST APIs, Git, and common development processes
• Independent, structured way of working and good communication skills
