Job description

Project overview

We are looking for a team of 3 or 4 experienced AI Model Validation Specialists to support the independent validation of AI agents transitioning from prototype to production for our client in the financial sector. Description of the Role

Working alongside AI, governance, and risk stakeholders, the consultant will assess model performance, documentation quality, data readiness, and regulatory compliance. The engagement will support a phased validation approach as solutions reach varying levels of readiness. The consultant will help mitigate delivery risks by ensuring timely and robust validation outcomes for priority AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent model risk validation reviews of AI agents before production release.
  • Assess model design, methodology, performance, controls, and documentation against established validation standards.
  • Evaluate data quality, data lineage, and supporting evidence required for model approval.
  • Provide risk assessments, challenge findings, and recommendations to address identified gaps.
  • Support a phased validation process, accommodating multiple submissions with varying readiness timelines.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across AI, governance, risk, and Financial Crime Prevention functions.

  • Knowledge of risk, compliance, and governance requirements related to AI deployment.
  • Experience within Financial Crime Prevention, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
