For a renowned client in the automotive sector, we are looking for a highly qualified, self-directed Backend Engineer to support the events team. The goal of the project is the development and scaling of an innovative mobile application that digitally redefines customer interactions around vehicles and lifestyle events.

- Project language: English (fluent in spoken and written, purely English-speaking team)
- Microservices & API Development: Development of robust, scalable, and performant backend services in Kotlin for customer-facing mobile and event applications.
- Cloud Architecture & IaC: Conception, setup, and deployment of serverless and containerized cloud infrastructures on AWS using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
- Software Architecture & Refactoring: Implementation of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and layered architectures; structured refactoring and modernization of existing software components.
- Data Management & Messaging: Modeling and connection of NoSQL and SQL databases (including DynamoDB, Aurora/MySQL) as well as integration of event streams via Apache Kafka (consumer side).
- Security & Observability: Implementation of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth), certificate and secrets management, as well as system monitoring via CloudWatch, New Relic, and Splunk.
- Quality Assurance & CI/CD: Writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests as well as continuous further development of CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline).
