• You program, implement, and customize technical components in web applications for timetable construction based on the technologies used, including interfaces, modules, and databases.
• You develop high-quality backend and microservice solutions and implement technical components with a focus on security, robustness, performance, and scalability.
• You fix bugs from the testing phases and ensure the sustainable quality of the applications and components.
• You create delivery artifacts and set up development environments, including continuous integration.
• You perform code reviews, component and module tests, and participate in refactorings and test-driven development.
• You contribute to the preparation of technical decision papers and support risk analysis and evaluation of technical components.
• You structure functional topics, transfer them into existing architectural models, and actively participate in the refinement of complex functional requirements.
• You design individualized and highly complex applications and products in the cloud environment, including the provisioning of cloud infrastructure.
• You advise specialist departments on the use of technologies and the implementation of requirements.
• Completed IT degree, for example in Business Informatics, a comparable qualification, or many years of practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cloud environment and with asynchronous processing and queuing mechanisms, e.g. Kafka.
• Very good and repeatedly practically tested knowledge in software development.
• Good knowledge of JSON, REST services, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with IntelliJ, VS Code, or comparable development environments.
• Experience with CI/CD, especially GitLab CI.
• Experience in pair programming, code reviews, and refactorings.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, CI/CD test automation, and distributed version control with Git.
• Practically tested knowledge in backend development, e.g. with Java and Spring Boot.
• Practically tested knowledge in the development and connection of microservices.
• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development.
• 3 to 5 years of experience with design principles such as SOLID, ACID, and other design patterns.
• Experience in securing microservices, e.g. overload protection and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or comparable cloud providers, as well as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm Charts.
• 3 to 5 years of experience with test frameworks and test tools, e.g. JUnit, JMeter, and Mockito.
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills.
• A structured and proactive way of working.
• High teamwork skills, communication strength, initiative, independence, resilience, and results orientation.
• A product-level mindset and self-responsible and organized action.
• Confident use of JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge in analysis, evaluation, and estimation of delivery units such as user stories and backlog items, as well as experience in refinement within the team.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, e.g. Grafana.
• Holistic expertise in complex software development with a focus on architecture, testing, deployment, and maintainability.
• 5 years of experience with modern databases in the cloud environment and with common development tools and methods, e.g. GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, DevOps, and software design.
• Experience with scripting, e.g. Bash or Groovy.
• Enjoyment of consulting, moderation, and communication within the development team.
• Experience and enjoyment of working with agile methods in self-responsible teams.
• Openness to change and an agile mindset.
• Proven experience in agile teams, e.g. Scrum, or a corresponding certification.
• Understanding of business contexts and close coordination with the team and product owner.
• Good English skills, spoken and written.
• Good German skills, spoken and written (min. C1).
