Job description
Seeking a Backend Developer with at least 5 years of software development experience, including 3 years in backend development using technologies like Spring Boot and Python. The role involves developing complex backend solutions, cloud-based applications, and data pipelines within an agile team.
Responsibilities
Professional Qualification
- Independent development based on customer requirements in an agile development team
- Development and implementation of technical components, interfaces, and database connections in compliance with development standards
- Conducting code reviews, component tests, and module tests
- Error analysis and bug fixing in test and production environments
- Setup and maintenance of development environments including continuous integration
- Creation of technical documentation and delivery artifacts according to architectural standards (e.g., Arc42)
- Participation in functional and technical refinements as well as release and version planning
- Development of complex backend solutions with a focus on security, scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Development and operation of cloud-based applications and data pipelines
- Analysis of technological trends and advising business units on technical solutions
- Completed IT degree (Diplom/Master), comparable training, or many years of relevant practical experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development
- At least 3 years of experience in backend development with technologies such as Spring Boot and Python
- Very good knowledge of complex software architectures, testing, deployment, and maintainability
- Profound experience with JSON, REST services, OpenAPI, and SQL (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Knowledge of test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito, pytest), Git, and CI/CD processes (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Experience in cloud environments and with database and storage solutions
- Very good knowledge of design principles and patterns (e.g., SOLID)
- Interest in AI-supported software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude)
- Strong analytical skills, structured way of working, and high degree of personal responsibility
- Strong team and communication skills as well as experience in agile development environments
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
