Building Plan Assessor / Environmental Lawyer (contract)

Project overview

Independent handling of complex environmental permit applications and associated objection and appeal procedures.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Assessing assigned environmental permit applications based on the environmental plan and applicable laws and regulations
• Performing legal and spatial analyses for complex permit applications
• Drafting and legally substantiating draft decisions and rulings
• Identifying and assessing legal, procedural, and spatial risks in the files
• Advising on complex legal issues regarding permit procedures
• Drafting defense statements in objection and appeal cases
• Preparing and, if necessary, representing the client during objection and appeal procedures
• Performing quality reviews on complex files of other building plan assessors
• Transferring specialist knowledge through file discussions and handling complex case law
• Documenting and reporting identified points for improvement in legal and procedural aspects
• Bachelor's degree in a legal field
• At least 3 years of work experience, gained in the past 7 years, as a (spatial) building plan assessor at a municipality or environmental agency
• At least 2 years of work experience, gained within the last 4 years, in independently handling defense in objection and appeal procedures
• Strong skills in both oral and written communication
• Results-oriented, independent, and analytical work attitude
