Business Analyst Smart Metering & SAP Utilities

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a focus on smart metering systems and SAP Utilities environments. You will analyze and optimize central processes in the smart metering context and contribute to solving complex technical questions.

Your tasks include the analysis and optimization of processes in the intelligent metering environment, handling clarification cases in device management and market communication, as well as functional support for metering systems, gateway administration, and meter data management. You will analyze process and data errors in SAP systems, coordinate with various departments and external partners, and document requirements in common collaboration tools. Optionally, you can also perform adjustments in Customizing.

You bring several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Process Consultant, or SAP Consultant in the intelligent metering environment. Profound knowledge of relevant standard processes, intelligent metering systems, device processes, and metering concepts is required. You have practical experience with various use cases, Gateway Administration, and Meter Data Management. Very good SAP knowledge in device management, especially in data analysis, as well as experience with clarification cases and manual device change processes are necessary.

Furthermore, you should understand device-related market communication between the involved stakeholders, work confidently with Jira and Confluence, and possess strong analytical skills and coordination competence at functional and technical interfaces.

The project starts in November 2026 and is planned for at least 6 months.
