Construction Manager

Project overview

Responsible for the operational management and coordination of construction activities on the construction site. The focus is on ensuring smooth construction progress, compliance with quality and HSE specifications, and the coordination of all involved trades and partners on site.

Documentation and Engineering Interface

• Daily coordination of all trades and subcontractors on the construction site.
• Ensuring construction site clearance, access routes, storage areas, and work areas.
• Coordination of interfaces between civil works, cable laying, and foundation work.
• Coordination of construction processes, taking into account weather conditions and construction interruptions.
• Monitoring construction progress based on actual quantities and project specifications.
• Conducting and documenting site inspections using photos and reports.
• Recording and tracking defects.
• Support with partial acceptances and section releases.
• No responsibility for commercial accounting.
• Coordination and supervision of all companies and assembly teams working on the construction site.
• Coordination of the activities of construction companies, grid connection, and equipment installers.
• Identification and resolution of scheduling, space, and access overlaps during ongoing site operations.
• Ensuring that no lifting operations are carried out over already installed plant components (e.g., transformer stations or Megapacks).
• Coordination of lifting concepts with the engineering team before starting work.
• Release of earthworks only after all necessary permits and approvals (e.g., unexploded ordnance clearance) are available.
• Ensuring compliance with specified construction sections and release processes.
• Monitoring of topsoil removal and site preparation.
• Ensuring compliance with transport and access routes.
• Control of intermediate storage and removal of soil material according to project specifications.
• Implementation and enforcement of site regulations and applicable HSE specifications.
• Support of the HSE partner in ensuring safe site operations.
• Monitoring compliance with safety measures by all parties involved on site.
• Marking and documentation of deviations between planning and execution (redlines).
• Communication of all relevant deviations to the engineering team.
• No independent release of as-built documentation.

Requirements

Location (Magdeburg, Jardelund, Bremen)

• Several years of experience in site management or construction management.
• Experience in infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge in coordinating multiple trades on active construction sites.
• Confident application of HSE and quality standards.
• Independent way of working as well as strong communication and coordination skills.
• German and English, spoken and written.
• On-site deployment at the construction site with regular coordination with project management, engineering, HSE, and executing companies.
