Data Engineer GCP / dbt – Migration Informatica to Cloud

Context of the mission

As part of a Data transformation program for a major client in the insurance sector, we are looking for a Data Engineer Cloud GCP / dbt to work on migrating a portfolio of Data processing currently based on Informatica On-Premise to a Cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform.

The mission is part of a high-stakes Data environment, with the objective of modernizing and industrializing data ingestion, transformation, and provisioning mechanisms.

The consultant will work within the Data teams and directly participate in the design and implementation of new Cloud pipelines.

• Analyze existing Informatica processes and flows to prepare their migration to GCP.
• Design and develop new data transformation processes with dbt.
• Implement and industrialize data ingestion mechanisms in GCP.
• Design and maintain robust and industrialized Data pipelines.
• Develop SQL models and transformations in BigQuery.
• Create generic and reusable SQL views to facilitate data exploitation.
• Participate in defining best practices for Data development and industrialization.
• Contribute to testing, acceptance, and migration security phases.
• Work closely with Data, architecture, and business teams.
• Participate in documenting migrated processes and flows.

• Very good command of SQL.
• Concrete experience with BigQuery.

• Experience with data ingestion mechanisms in GCP.
• Good understanding of Data Cloud architectures.
• Ability to design generic, maintainable, and industrializable processes.
• Experience migrating a traditional ETL to a Cloud architecture would be particularly appreciated.
• Knowledge of Informatica is a real asset for understanding and taking over existing processes.
