Project overview

Dear Sir or Madam,

For an exciting project, we are looking for a Data Engineer MS Fabric & PowerBI (Data Models, DAX, RLS, Direct Lake, Azure DevOps, SQL, Python, PySpark)

Responsibilities

• Development, further development, and operation of meaningful PowerBI reports and dashboards for optimizing processes within information security.
• Conducting data analyses as well as conception and implementation of convincing visualizations on the Microsoft Fabric platform.
• Conception, development, orchestration, and operation of ETL/ELT processes for connecting, integrating, and transforming different data sources with Fabric Data Factory (Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2/Power Query) as well as notebooks with Python/PySpark.
• Building, administration, and continuous further development of a modern data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.
• Conception, building, maintenance, and optimization of semantic data models, including the development of complex DAX calculations as well as implementation of RLS and, if applicable, OLS standards.
• Dashboard and report-based consulting to ensure and monitor data quality, especially in the context of IS risk management.

• Up to 3 years of practical experience with Microsoft PowerBI (Data Models, DAX, RLS, Direct Lake) and Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory with Pipelines and Dataflows, Gen2, Notebooks with Apache Spark)
• Up to 3 years of practical experience with version control and CI/CD for Fabric (Git integration, Deployment Pipelines)
• Up to 3 years of practical experience with Azure DevOps (e.g., Repos, Pipelines, Work Items)
• Up to 3 years of practical experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark (queries, performance optimization)
• Up to 3 years of experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering
• Experience in handling large and complex data volumes as well as a strong understanding of data structures, data models, and their processing (1 project reference)
• Project experience in an information security area (e.g., CISO, SOC, GRC) (1 project reference)
