Data Management Expert

Project overview

Assignment within the Data Management for Reliable AI project at Defense (JIVC/COMMIT):

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Develop central knowledge, standards, guidelines, and tooling for data management within the entire organization
• Support the implementation of federated data management, where each defense unit becomes responsible for its data products
• Collaborate with project leader, enterprise data architect, data engineers, and platform engineers
• Elaborate and implement policy, standards, and procedures for data management activities where they are still missing
• Ensure quality from own expertise
• Travel to other locations within Defense for consultation, with home base at Kromhoutkazerne Utrecht
• Demonstrable work experience of at least 3 years in a role as Data Management Expert or similar function
• Completed education at HBO level or higher and/or at least 2 years of work experience at HBO work and thinking level
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience with change management within a large organization (250+ FTE)
• Preferably experience with writing policy, standards, and processes for data management
• Preferably experience with federated data architecture and data mesh
• Preferably experience with data quality, data lineage, metadata management, access control, data modeling, data security, and/or data (product) life cycle management
• Preferably Agile certification and/or work experience
• Preferably a CDMP certificate (Certified Data Management Professional)
• Experience within central government is recommended, preferably gained in the security domain (Police, NCTV, Justice, Defense, Judiciary)
• More than 3 years of work experience as a Data Management Expert is preferred
