Assignment description

What will you do?

As a Domain Architect OT - SCADA, you are end-to-end responsible for the SCADA capability within Enexis from an architectural perspective. You will direct the entire lifecycle: from vision, design, and tender to realization, migration, commissioning, management, renewal, and decommissioning.

Responsibilities

comprehensively map the current SCADA capability, including processes, data, organization, applications, technology, integrations, and management. You will manage process and information experts;

develop the vision, target architecture, and transition architecture for SCADA within OT, in line with the future way of working and the architecture for Elektra;

be substantively responsible for the end-to-end solution of the complex SCADA migration and translate the architecture into feasible migration scenarios, intermediate steps, dependencies, risks, test, cut-over, and fallback strategies;

establish the roadmap and approach together with the program manager and monitor the coherence, quality, and future-proofing of the solution during realization;

guide, coach, and develop delivery teams and help them grow in independence, ownership, and professional maturity;

be part of the OT architects team, collaborate on consistent architectural frameworks, and contribute to the development of the architecture field;

ensure safety, cybersecurity, availability, business continuity, and manageability in the architecture and the solution;

provide substantive contributions to tenders, supplier choices, and the SCADA strategy;

prepare architecturally strategic decisions, present them to management, and bring together stakeholders from different domains;

work self-directed, take ownership of the issue, bring structure to complexity, and address bottlenecks in a timely manner.

Job requirements

You have at least a higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working, preferably in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a comparable field.

You have at least ten years of relevant work experience as an architect and possess a demonstrable engineering and realization mindset.

You have experience with SCADA, industrial automation, process control, or comparable business-critical OT environments.

You have experience with designing and realizing complex migrations, including transition architecture, testing, cut-over, fallback, and commissioning.

You have knowledge of safety, cybersecurity, availability, and business continuity and know how to translate this into appropriate architectural choices.

You are able to provide substantive guidance and coaching to delivery teams and help them grow.

You are independent, decisive, and results-oriented and know how to connect different interests.

You can switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels and translate architecture into concrete choices for delivery teams.

You have good command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.

Team and culture

You are part of a team of OT architects. Together, you ensure coherent architecture and direction within the OT domain. You will work closely with delivery teams, programs, operations, security, safety, IT, Elektra, and external suppliers.
