Embedded Software Developer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to strengthen our team in the electrical engineering industry. In this role, you will develop and port functions on embedded platforms and implement software for controlling electronic hardware.

Your tasks include analyzing and troubleshooting in close cooperation with test and service teams, integrating various technologies for the development of robust systems, and low-level bring-up of hardware and software on new platforms. You will analyze and resolve complex errors at the hardware, firmware, and system level, using professional debugging tools such as JTAG and packet analyzers. Furthermore, you will document commissioning processes and system behavior.

For this position, you need a completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification. Profound knowledge in C/C++ development, confident use of Git and development tools, as well as experience with SDKs are required. Knowledge of Embedded Linux, ideally with Yocto/BitBake, is essential. Experience with real-time operating systems and time-critical applications is advantageous.

This freelance position is available immediately for 6 months with 100% utilization on-site.
