An international energy company is looking for an experienced Energy Market Operator to strengthen the Market Energy & CRM Operations team. The position is based in Brussels and offers flexible working structures with a 60% remote share.
The Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) is a strategic instrument for ensuring long-term electricity supply. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of this market mechanism: from pre-qualification through auctions to monitoring, settlement, and reporting.
Your tasks include the operational execution of CRM processes such as pre-qualification, financial guarantees, secondary market, availability monitoring, and settlement. You will analyze technical, financial, and operational dossiers of capacity providers, review documentation and calculations, and derive operational recommendations.
Gradually, you will develop into a subject matter expert for specific CRM domains through a deep understanding of market rules, regulatory requirements, and operating procedures. You will create regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities.
Furthermore, you will support the preparation and validation of auction and settlement activities, including KPI reporting, performance monitoring, and analysis of exceptional cases. You will proactively manage operational issues from market participants and internal stakeholders.
The position requires analytical thinking, stakeholder management skills, and technical assessment capabilities. You will be supported by an experienced team and have prospects for further development in other Customer Operations areas.
