Context

A large international group is launching a strategic program to master and govern its Product data. The objective is to regain end-to-end control over its most critical data flows, particularly Product repositories and hierarchies, which are currently spread across multiple systems. The aim is to define a pragmatic approach to transverse data lineage, leveraging existing solutions as much as possible.

Mission

You will be part of a team including a project manager and ad-hoc expertise (Data Lineage, Cyber / Data Privacy), working on the following steps:

Profile sought

Appreciated asset: knowledge of Google Dataplex / Data Catalog, OpenMetadata, or an equivalent solution.

• Formalize and prioritize needs: clarify use cases, map applications, flows, and interdependencies to cover.
• Evaluate solutions: challenge the coverage of existing tools, identify gaps, and, if necessary, study complementary market solutions (Data Lineage / Metadata Management).
• Scope and launch a POC on a representative perimeter.
• Define the target trajectory: possible scenarios, risks, opportunities, and implementation conditions.
• Proven experience in enterprise, application, and Cloud architecture, with strong GCP proficiency.
• Expertise in integration architecture: APIs, interfaces, flows, and inter-application dependencies.
• Good understanding of Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Catalogs.
• Ability to challenge existing architecture and propose pragmatic scenarios.
• Experience in scoping and technically challenging POCs.
• Ease of working in complex environments, at the interface between Architecture, Data, and IT.
• Fluent English, deliverables written in English.
