Enterprise Architect / Domain Architect Banking Transformation

Project overview

For a strategic transformation program in the banking environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise or Domain Architect. You will drive the consolidation of existing core banking systems and the development of a future-proof, overarching application and reference architecture.

Your tasks include developing strategic target and reference architectures for core banking systems and adjacent applications. You will analyze and evaluate business requirements across various banking domains and develop the transformation and implementation roadmap, including dependencies, critical paths, and exit points. Furthermore, you will provide technical support for the RfP process and evaluate potential solution providers. Close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, business departments, management, and delivery teams is essential.

We expect many years of experience as an Enterprise or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes, ideally in banking. Proven experience with core banking transformations, consolidations, or migrations across multiple banking domains is required. Sound knowledge of banking applications, reference architectures, and common integration patterns, as well as experience with TOGAF, Capability Based Modelling, and agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe, are necessary. Strong communication skills at management and implementation levels complete the profile.

German (at least C1) and English (C1) are required. The position is limited to 14 months, starts on 01.01.2027, and will be filled 100% in hybrid mode in the Zurich region.
