Experienced Communications Advisor Refugee Taskforce

Project overview

As a communications advisor, you will work on the communication surrounding the refugee taskforce within the municipality's program.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising at a strategic and tactical level on communication for the refugee program
• Executing communication activities including press representation
• Collaborating with project leaders, program advisors, departments, and administrators on the communication strategy
• Further developing and executing the communication and participation approach for the involved projects
• Identifying public sentiment regarding refugee reception and proactively incorporating this into advice and execution
• Completed communications degree at least at HBO bachelor level
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as a communications advisor at a government institution
• Minimum 3 years of work experience initiating participation processes
• At least 3 years of experience in strategic environmental communication
• Work experience in the last 5 years as a communications advisor for a refugee taskforce (desired)
• Work experience in the last 10 years as a communications advisor at a government institution (desired)
• Experience in the last 10 years setting up participation processes (desired)
• Good sense of perspective and ability to stand firm
• Ability to translate complex matters into understandable language
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
