The project's goal is the conceptual further development of existing IT budget control into integrated IT Financial and Service Management with an overall IT perspective. To achieve this, existing structures, processes, and data foundations for budgets, costs, and IT services are to be analyzed, unified, and professionally further developed. The focus is on the traceable linking of IT costs, service consumption, service usage, and capacities. Suitable cost models, key figures, and control foundations for economic efficiency assessments are to be conceived.

The results will serve as a transparent decision-making basis for the economic steering of the overall IT.

Tasks/Service Description

• Analysis and documentation of existing IT budget control (budget planning, forecasting, CAPEX/OPEX allocation, variance analysis, management reporting) including suggestions for improvement
• Conception of the foundations for IT Financial Management: cost models, cost allocation methods, economic efficiency assessments, ITFM standards
• Analysis and further development of IT Service Management: service catalog, service lifecycle, service allocation, linking IT services with cost, usage, and performance data
• Governance foundations: methods, processes, key figures, control standards for the overall IT, presentation of variances, harmonization suggestions
• Conception of an integrated data and reporting foundation: budgets, costs, IT services, usage, capacities, data description, key figures, data relationships, quality requirements
• Analysis of project-related interfaces to IT departments, controlling, procurement, service management, and IT leadership; clarification of decision needs
• Identification of standardization, optimization, and automation potentials (benefits, prerequisites, dependencies, implementation options)
• Creation of result documentation and decision proposals

• Minimum 5 years of project experience in IT Financial Management / IT Controlling / IT Budget Control
• Profound knowledge of ITFM and ITSM
• Knowledge of at least one framework: ITIL, TBM, or FinOps
• Experience with cross-departmental control models and structures
• Reporting, BI, and data-based control models
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1)
• References no older than 3 years required
