Job description
Advise port authorities and private partners on new and existing port infrastructure, leading workshops, defining design parameters, and executing technical feasibility studies.
Project overview
As an infrastructure expert, you will advise port authorities and private partners on new and existing port infrastructure.
Profile of the suited interim professional:
- Leading workshops and consultations with clients to map infrastructure needs
- Determining critical design parameters and preparing a high-level design plan
- Elaborating the technical component of port master plans within a multidisciplinary team
- Conducting technical feasibility studies, including cost estimation and risk analysis
- Supporting foreign ports with asset management throughout the entire lifecycle
- Overseeing the execution of construction projects to ensure quality within budget and schedule
- Presenting project results, including to the board of directors
- University or higher education degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or a similar profile
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in consultancy and projects as an infrastructure expert, preferably within the port or maritime sector
- Experience with at least 3 demonstrable projects outside of Europe
- Fluent knowledge of French and English, Dutch is a plus
- Willingness to travel, on average one week per month abroad
