Project overview

The assignment involves the financial management of projects within the Living Environment department and advising on the structural organization of project control.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Managing and monitoring the financial progress of projects within Living Environment
• Monitoring the financial status and progress of projects
• Analyzing budgets, actuals, forecasts, and deviations
• Identifying and advising on financial bottlenecks and risks
• Advising on financial and management issues related to projects
• Supporting and advising project leaders in financial steering
• Ensuring an overview of the deployment and time registration of projects
• Contributing to the improvement of the quality of time tracking
• Inventorying tasks and responsibilities related to project control
• Identifying areas for improvement in the current project control methodology
• Advising on the structural positioning of project control within the organization
• HBO/WO work and thinking level, preferably in business economics, finance, or controlling
• Demonstrable experience in project control and financial management of projects
• Experience in monitoring budgets, preparing forecasts, financial analysis, and risk management
• Experience in advising project leaders and management layers
• Ability to translate financial information into practical advice
• Independent and proactive work style
• Experience in auditing and optimizing financial processes
• Experience within a municipality or similar public organization is recommended
