  • You speak Dutch
  • You are not enrolled as a student to prevent conflicts of interest
  • You are mobile enough to travel to different locations
  • You have an affinity with the digital world
  • You understand software quickly and are not afraid to tackle technical problems
  • You don't mind that the work is flexible and mainly takes place around exam periods
  • You are available long-term for multiple exam weeks, mainly in week 51 (Dec 14–18), week 4 (Jan 25-29), week 12 (Mar 22-26), week 21 (May 24-28), and weeks 25/26/27 (June 21-July 9)

Responsibilities

As a Digital Exam Support Staff Member (Assistant Floor Manager, AFM), you are the indispensable link during the exam periods of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). You ensure that the digital exam process runs smoothly. From starting up the systems to resolving acute IT problems: you are the point of contact in the room.

Do you have no experience with exam software yet? No problem. You will receive training followed by a number of onboarding shifts. This way, you will be fully prepared to work independently afterwards.

where you will work

In this role, you work for two leading educational institutions: the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). You are flexibly deployable at various locations throughout the city, from the bustling Center and Amsterdam West to Southeast.

You are part of a committed team of about 40 colleagues who, together with you, are committed to the smooth running of the exams. On the work floor, you will be supported by the floor managers of the UvA and HvA, and your dedicated contact person at Randstad is available for all your other questions.

Besides work, there is plenty of room for fun: a few times a year we organize informal drinks and gatherings to get to know your colleagues even better!

  • The start: You prepare the exams in the application (Ans) and ensure that students can log in without problems.
  • Support: You immediately resolve problems, such as login errors, malfunctioning software, or defective laptops.
  • Overview: You maintain calm during major disruptions and quickly liaise with colleagues to find solutions.
  • Closing: You ensure that all exams are submitted correctly and that the laptops are ready again (on the charger!) for the next day.
