Commissioning of Refrigeration and Vacuum Systems (m/f/d) - GR Cologne & International

Project overview

For an international technology project in a regulated plant environment, an experienced specialist is sought for the commissioning of complex refrigeration, vacuum, and process systems. The focus is on the technical commissioning of a thermal process system with ultra-low temperature applications, as well as the analysis and resolution of systemic deviations until successful operational release.

Responsibilities

• Independent execution of commissioning on process engineering plants at the factory and at the end customer's site
• Testing, optimization, and release of refrigeration, vacuum, and media-carrying systems
• Execution of leak analyses, functional tests, and error diagnostics on plants with ultra-low temperature processes
• Commissioning of plants for vacuum cooling and freeze-drying, including process validation
• Verification of sensors, actuators, signal paths, and safety-relevant functions
• Execution and documentation of acceptance and qualification tests
• Analysis of technical deviations and derivation and implementation of suitable corrective measures
• Creation of technical reports and commissioning protocols
• Instruction of users on operation, processes, and plant functions

Requirements

• Background as a technician or degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, refrigeration technology, automation technology, or comparable
• Several years of experience in the commissioning of complex plants or special machinery
• Sound knowledge in refrigeration technology, ideally in the field of deep-freeze, vacuum, or freeze-drying processes
• Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and leak testing on refrigeration and vacuum systems
• Knowledge of handling PLC-controlled systems, preferably Siemens S7
• Experience with qualification, acceptance, or testing procedures in an industrial environment
• Practical knowledge of handling CO2 refrigeration systems or comparable refrigeration processes is an advantage
• Willingness to travel for international project assignments
• Structured and solution-oriented approach, as well as a confident demeanor in an international environment
• German and English language skills, spoken and written
