For Bureau Informatiediensten Nederland (BIDN), we are urgently looking for an experienced Interim Corporate Lawyer to provide temporary support in the areas of contract law, procurement law, privacy, and IT law. About the assignment

BIDN supports municipalities in determining what provisions and support citizens are entitled to. For this, data from various organizations is processed and exchanged in a safe and careful manner. As an Interim Corporate Lawyer, you will primarily focus on the legal guidance of contractual agreements related to this data exchange. You will work closely with the corporate lawyer, contract manager, Security & Privacy Officer, and Data Protection Officer. The assignment arises due to temporary replacement and has an expected duration of four months.

What will you do?

• Advise on legal issues within contract law, procurement law, privacy law, and IT law.
• Draft, review, and update agreements with municipalities and data suppliers.
• Provide legal guidance for data exchange and data processing.
• Identify legal risks and advise on appropriate solutions.
• Ensure that contractual agreements align with current laws and regulations and internal privacy and information security policies.
• Support with legal issues related to services for municipalities.
• Collaborate with legal, contractual, and privacy and security specialists.

What do you bring?

• A completed university degree in Law.
• Extensive demonstrable experience as a corporate lawyer or legal advisor.
• Thorough knowledge of contract law, procurement law, privacy law, and IT law.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing complex agreements.
• Knowledge of or affinity with data protection, information security, and data processing.
• Affinity with legislation within the social domain, such as the Participation Act, Youth Act, and Wmo.
• An independent, analytical, pragmatic, and service-oriented attitude.
• Availability for 36 hours per week on short notice.

What do we offer?

An intellectually challenging interim assignment within a socially involved organization, with two possible contract types.

Option 1 – Freelance

Option 2 – Interim via secondment

For employment via secondment, the following indicative compensation structure applies, based on 36 hours per week:

*The amounts for secondment are based on an example calculation. The reserve and pension accrual are not paid out as net salary monthly. The actual net payout depends on the personal tax situation and final contract terms.*

• Indicative hourly rate: €90–€100 per hour, excluding VAT.
• Engagement: 36 hours per week.
• Duration: approximately 4 months.
• Hybrid working from Utrecht.
• Start: as soon as possible.
• Net monthly payout: €6,600.42
• Reserve accrual: €722.56 per month, to be paid out after the employment period according to the applicable conditions.
• Pension accrual: €258.44 per month, separately reserved with ASR.
• Total stated monthly value: €7,581.42
• Travel expenses reimbursement.
