Interim Head of Finance

Project overview

As interim Head of Finance, you will lead the team and guide the department through a period of change.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Lead and guide a team of 12 to 13 financial professionals within Accounting, Reporting, Control, and Oversight
• Monitor financial management processes, reports, and control processes for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
• Ensure that the annual accounts and associated reporting obligations are completed on time
• Guide the transition to the future operating model and develop the corresponding financial strategy
• Drive budgeting and support the development of business cases for new products and initiatives
• Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness, and proactively identify and mitigate risks
• Advise and challenge senior management in financial matters and utilize technology and data infrastructure for process and insight improvement
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, supplemented by a relevant certification (RA, RC, CPA, or CMA)
• 9 to 10 years of work experience in financial services, including 4 to 5 years in a management or interim leadership position
• Proven track record as an independent interim specialist, preferably gained in the Dutch financial sector
• Experience in leading financial teams during organizational changes and transformation projects
• Up-to-date knowledge of Dutch and international financial laws and regulations, particularly in the area of asset management
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, governance, risk management, and audit processes
