Interim Project and Manufacturing Controller | Project Cost Controlling | Greater Munich Area

Project overview

An experienced interim Project and Manufacturing Controller (m/f/d) is sought for an internationally active industrial company in the greater Munich area. The company manages large technical projects and is transitioning its ERP system to SAP S/4HANA in the coming years.

In the project, you will support the Finance team in the ongoing management of project costs and work closely with the project teams, the manufacturing department, and international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and moderation of monthly project reviews with the operational project teams
• Analysis of project results, cash flow, and liquidity of ongoing projects
• Participation in project calculations and post-calculations
• Preparation of cost deviations and over/undercoverages and analysis of operational and financial causes
• Support in manufacturing controlling, including KPI monitoring and further development of controlling tools
• Contribution to management reporting, budget and forecast, actual-vs-plan analyses, business cases, and ad-hoc analyses
• Support in improving master data quality in the ERP system and in preparations for the annual financial statements

Requirements

• Completed degree in economics or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in project and operations controlling, ideally in project-based industrial business (e.g., mechanical or plant engineering)
• Experience in project calculation and manufacturing controlling
• Confident use of MS Office and ERP systems, knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an advantage
• Networked way of working across departments and national borders, goal-oriented, detail-accurate, and pragmatic
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
