Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Implementing and safeguarding measures to strengthen financial control
• Improving the quality, reliability, and predictability of financial information
• Further developing roles, responsibilities, and working agreements within the financial function
• Professionalizing forecasting and budget control within the Planning & Control cycle
• Safeguarding monthly cyclical work and increasing the predictability of the planning and control cycle
• Strengthening the advisory role of financial professionals towards management and board
• Promoting integral collaboration within the financial chain
• Increasing ownership and sense of responsibility within the financial team
• Documenting work processes, methods, and collaboration agreements
• Developing a development agenda for the next phase towards reorganization
• Identifying and advising on remaining points for improvement and risks
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in municipal finance
• Experience in the field of organizational development and professionalizing financial functions within a municipal organization
• Experience with Planning & Control processes, financial control, and corporate control
• Experience with implementing organization-wide improvement and change initiatives
• Preferably work experience with strengthening municipal financial functions in a reorganization, merger, or organizational development context
• A vision for permanently safeguarding changes within a financial function
• Organizational sensitivity, change management, and connecting abilities
• Skill in development-oriented coaching, with attention to both process and results
