Project overview

The assignment focuses on strengthening internal controls and supporting accountability for legality.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Drafting and updating internal control plans and process descriptions
• Performing internal controls and advising on administrative organization and internal control
• Updating the financial risk and fraud analysis
• Drafting and organizing the file for accountability for legality
• Coordinating the control activities regarding accountability for legality and seeking alignment with the accountant
• Following developments in legislation and regulations and translating them into advice and control measures
• Reporting findings, risks, and areas for improvement that emerge from the performed controls
• In the past 5 years, at least 2 years of work experience as an internal auditor within a government organization
• A completed education at least at HBO bachelor level
• A self-written proposal and action plan with a view to the specialisms to be deployed
• Liability for the quality of the deployment during the entire term, including any extensions
• Preferably experience with the Procurement Act in practice
• Preferably experience with regional government finance, budgets, and accountability in safety regions, municipalities, or healthcare institutions
• Preferably a WO bachelor's degree in, for example, Business Economics, Accountancy, or Business Administration, preferably as a registered accountant
• Knowledge of or experience with a Safety Region is recommended
