Introduction of Cost Accounting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (Manufacturing Company)

Starting Situation:

The cost accounting from AX 2009 is not yet productively usable in the new system. The controller is currently working partly manually or with Excel and outdated calculation values. The goal is a lean, standard-based cost accounting without the old AX 2009 background procedures and a reliable basis for evaluation (cost centers, cost objects, operating result, calculation).

• Support and technical-systemic introduction of D365 cost accounting (Cost Accounting) parallel to the existing project team:
• Basic setup of the cost accounting model, dimensions, periods, and data supply from financial accounting
• Connection of operational costs from production (resources/resource groups, cost objects; item cost objects in a later phase)
• Primary costs from financial accounting, allocations, and internal cost allocation
• Coordination with calculated depreciation of fixed assets (value models/depreciation, automatisms where sensible)
• Workspaces and evaluations (D365, Excel add-in, possibly Power BI) that the specialist department can further develop itself
• Tests in the sandbox, documentation of the setup, and handover to the controller
• Experience with cost accounting/controlling in Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX with migration to D365)
• Ideally manufacturing environment: machine hourly rates, cost center and cost object accounting
• Independent setup and testing work; briefing and technical support will be provided by us
• Fluent German
• Not a large project
• Focused introduction up to the usable basic structure and initial reliable actual evaluations.
• Start at short notice, duration by arrangement (weeks to a few months, part-time possible).
