• The services will be provided for the IT contract and supplier management of the CIO division of a large corporation in the transport and logistics environment. The subject is the organizational, process-related, and tool-related analysis of existing IT license management, as well as the development of professionally justified target and solution scenarios for its strategic further development.
• The services include the examination of existing workflows and processes, the execution of fit/gap analyses, the modeling of suitable target processes, and the evaluation of the derived requirements with regard to the existing software asset management tool implementation. Additionally, internal IT license audits are to be planned and conducted. The results are to be compared with the relevant contractual bases and translated into a prioritized action catalog and a comprehensible implementation plan.
• The goal is a reliable basis for decision-making and implementation for the strategic further development of IT license management. The decision on selection, approval, and implementation of the recommendations remains with the client.
• The contractor will independently and self-organized provide analysis, conception, consulting, and audit services in the area of strategic IT license management and software asset management.
• The services must be documented in such a way that the results can be understood, evaluated by the client, and used for further decisions or implementation measures to be commissioned separately.
• Analysis of existing IT license management Structured recording and analysis of the existing organization, procedures, workflows, interfaces, and documentation of IT license management.
• Documentation of the current situation, including weaknesses, process gaps, media breaks, dependencies, and open professional questions.
• Fit/Gap Analysis and Process Modeling
• Evaluation of the documented and practically executed workflows against suitable best practices.
• Development of comprehensible fit/gap results and modeling of optimized target processes, including process boundaries, interfaces, control, and handover points.
• Strategic Target and Solution Scenarios
• Development and comparative evaluation of target and solution scenarios for organization, processes, control mechanisms, role boundaries, and tool support.
• Documentation of prerequisites, dependencies, advantages and disadvantages, impacts, and a professionally justified recommendation.
• Evaluation of SAM Tool Implementation
• Comparison of the developed target images and target processes with the existing SAM tool implementation.
• Documentation of deviations and recommendations for action. Technical configuration, implementation, or go-live is not included unless separately agreed.
• Internal IT License Audits
• Planning and execution of internal IT license audits for the software products, license inventories, or contract objects specified by the client.
• German C2
• Proven practical knowledge in strategic and operational IT license management as well as software asset management and their setup/further development (min. 5 years)
• Proven practical knowledge in the analysis and modeling of license management processes as well as in conducting structured current state and fit/gap analyses (min. 5 years)
• Proven practical knowledge in the conception, execution, and documentation of internal IT license audits (min. 5 years)
• Experience in IT license management consulting in the transport/logistics sector (min. 5 years)
• Knowledge in the analysis of license inventories, usage information, and contractual license bases (min. 5 years)
• Knowledge in the professional use and evaluation of SAM tools (min. 5 years)
• Practical experience in the introduction/implementation of a SAM tool including conception, integration, and transfer to regular operation (1 reference)
• Knowledge in the professional evaluation of license and procurement-related data from SAP in a corporate environment (min. 5 years)
• Project management experience in license management and software asset management (min. 5 years)
