IT/OT Application & Production Support Specialist

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced IT/OT Application & Production Support Specialist for a production facility in Braunschweig. This role is central to ensuring the stable and efficient operation of all IT and OT systems in the production environment.

Your main tasks include 1st to 3rd level support for production-related IT systems, applications, and end devices. You will analyze and resolve disruptions in the areas of network, systems, machine connections, and data flows. Furthermore, you will perform updates, patch management, and monitoring of production-critical systems. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of IT systems, production hardware, and peripheral devices, as well as for ensuring backup and recovery processes.

As an interface between production, QA, facility management, and various IT teams, you will support IT/OT projects and changes. You will create technical documentation, train local teams, and work closely with internal departments and external service providers.

Your profile should include several years of experience in IT or OT support as well as in production-related IT environments. Very good knowledge of networks, hardware, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting is required. Experience with MySQL, MS SQL, and a basic understanding of SAP are advantageous. You should be proficient in application support and application management, have strong communication skills, and possess a high degree of service orientation. Fluent German and English skills are necessary.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly critical production environment with a direct impact on production stability and to participate in international IT and transformation projects. The position is limited to 12 months with 100% utilization on-site (5 days per week).
