IT Production Project Manager

Project overview

As part of information system evolution projects, we are looking for an IT Project Manager specialized in coordinating IT production activities and supporting projects through to their go-live.

Integrated within the production teams, you will be involved from the technical project study phases and will ensure the coordination of all stakeholders until go-live and validation of the proper functioning of the deployed solutions.

You will ensure the anticipation of operational constraints, the security of deployments, and guarantee a controlled transition to the production teams.

Profile Sought

With higher education in IT, you have significant experience in IT project management, ideally in an IT production environment.

You have a good understanding of the challenges related to information system operations and are familiar with Mainframe and distributed environments.

You are capable of managing cross-functional technical projects, from the scoping phase to go-live, by coordinating stakeholders from different technical domains.

Organized, rigorous, and with excellent interpersonal skills, you know how to lead meetings, formalize decisions, and ensure follow-up on actions. Your ability to anticipate, your coordination skills, and your mastery of project risks will be essential to successfully carry out your missions.

Work Environment

• Analyze technical projects to understand their challenges, objectives, and impacts on production environments.
• Develop project scoping and organization documents.
• Estimate workloads, necessary resources, and completion times.
• Identify and assess project-related risks, particularly concerning technical and operational aspects.
• Construct provisional schedules and define the main implementation milestones.
• Anticipate operational constraints and the conditions necessary for go-live.
• Project Management and Coordination
• Ensure the coordination and management of one or more technical projects until their go-live.
• Utilize existing project methodologies (V-model and Agile), while proposing improvements where necessary.
• Monitor project progress, workloads, deadlines, and any deviations from initial objectives.
• Coordinate the various stakeholders: study teams, infrastructure, production, and other parties.
• Organize and lead follow-up and coordination meetings.
• Formalize meeting minutes, track decisions made, and ensure necessary follow-ups.
• Guarantee the follow-up of action plans and the resolution of blocking points.
• Go-Live Coordination
• Organize and coordinate the activities necessary for the implementation of technical solutions.
• Ensure the proper preparation of environments and prerequisites for go-live.
• Coordinate the various contributors during deployment operations.
• Ensure the proper transmission of information and necessary elements to the production teams.
• Monitor the start-up phase and Regular Service Verification (RSV).
• Track any malfunctions after deployment and coordinate their resolution.
• Guarantee a controlled transition to the operations teams.
• Good knowledge of IT production businesses and constraints.
• Understanding of Mainframe and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of operational processes and go-live challenges.
• Understanding of availability, continuity, and operational maintenance constraints.
