IT Project Manager – Application Maintenance, Security

Project overview

For the long-term maintenance and further development of web-based environmental applications, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager.

The focus is on the technical modernization of existing applications, functional adjustments, software updates, bug fixing, and IT security. The applications process extensive environmental, factual, and geodata.

Responsibilities

• Project management and controlling for the further development of web-based specialized applications
• Coordination of developers, architects, and operations managers
• Planning and control of maintenance, updates, and releases
• Control of bug fixing, security patching, and CVE management
• Coordination of regression tests and quality assurance
• Budget, schedule, resource, and risk management
• Requirements management and coordination with business departments
• Reporting and communication with clients and IT service providers

• At least 36 months of project management experience
• Experience in managing and controlling web-based specialized application development or further development
• Experience in managing technical development teams
• Completed university degree with proof
• German language skills at least C2
• Technical understanding of Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Angular, and relational databases
• One of the following certificates:
• GPM Basic Level, PMP, CAPM, IPMA Level D, PRINCE2 Foundation or PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
• Experience with GIS/Geodata processing (e.g., disy Cadenza)
• Kubernetes, container deployment, microservices, and CI/CD
• Experience with Application Maintenance and Software Modernization
• IT security, security patching, and software QA
• Requirements management and technical conception
• Experience with administrative and environmental applications
• Coordination with state authorities and public IT service providers
