IT Security Architect ServiceNow - Remote

Project overview

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an IT Security Architect with very good ServiceNow knowledge on a freelance basis.

Responsibilities

• Platform Security Architecture & Operations
• Responsibility for the technical further development and operational support of the ServiceNow platform's security architecture
• Active implementation and continuous optimization of security measures
• Analysis and resolution of security-related vulnerabilities and configuration risks
• Ensuring stable and secure platform operation
• ServiceNow Portfolio Consulting
• Consulting on the secure use and further development of the ServiceNow portfolio
• Evaluation of existing platform components and security functions
• Development and active implementation of optimization measures
• Instance Hardening
• Performing technical security checks and hardening of ServiceNow instances
• Implementation and adaptation of security-relevant configurations
• Review and optimization of existing role and authorization concepts
• Regular monitoring of the effectiveness of implemented security measures
• IP Whitelisting & Access Security
• Setup, maintenance, and optimization of IP whitelisting rules
• Technical implementation and verification of access restrictions
• Analysis and resolution of problems related to security-relevant access configurations
• Security Concept Review & Implementation
• Independent execution and continuous updating of Security Concept Reviews
• Evaluation of existing security concepts and identification of vulnerabilities
• Derivation, prioritization, and active implementation of necessary security measures
• Verification of the effectiveness of implemented measures in ongoing platform operation
• Security Tracking & Documentation
• Continuous tracking of identified security risks and measures.
• Documentation of performed security reviews and technical changes
• Follow-up of open security measures until completion
• Regular coordination and status reporting with the responsible departments

• Several years of experience in security architecture and operation of ServiceNow platforms
• Profound knowledge in ServiceNow Security, Instance Hardening, and Access Management
• Practical experience in conducting Security Concept Reviews
• Experience in the technical implementation and operational management of security measures
• Knowledge of relevant IT security standards and best practices
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
• Good to very good German language skills, spoken and written
• Location: remote
• Start: asap
• Duration: until 31.12.2026 with option for long-term
• Workload: Full-time
