Service Description

A technical consultant or Solution Architect is sought for an ongoing project with short notice. The position requires in-depth technical knowledge to examine the existing IT enterprise landscape, applications, and dependencies, and to derive concrete recommendations for action for the project.

The consultant is expected to work largely independently and analytically. Their tasks include the technical evaluation of applications, integrations, and data flows, as well as the identification of technical complexity, risks, and optimization potential. Furthermore, they will provide well-founded technical contributions to the evaluation of solution options, cost estimates, and the development of the transformation roadmap.

Core Task: Create a fact-based technical overview of the existing IT landscape and translate complex findings, risks, and dependencies into concrete solution and transformation recommendations.

The objective of the position is to create the necessary technical transparency over the existing IT environment to enable well-founded transformation decisions.

The scope of tasks includes the analysis of applications, technical dependencies, system integrations, interfaces, and data flows, as well as the identification of risks and optimization opportunities.

The consultant translates the results of their analyses into structured technical assessments and solution evaluations. Furthermore, they provide technical foundations for cost estimates and the creation of the transformation roadmap.

• Delimitation of the Role:
• The position includes technical analyses, assessments, and solution architecture. It is explicitly not a general PMO role.
• The consultant provides technical contributions to cost estimates and the transformation roadmap. Overall commercial responsibility or the final decision on the transformation is not part of the described scope of tasks.
• Responsibility for implementation beyond the described analysis, assessment, and recommendation tasks is not foreseen.
• Additional Competencies and Information:
• Availability and earliest possible start date.
• Relevant experience in the analysis and evaluation of complex IT landscapes and applications.
• Examples of comparable projects for IT modernization as well as for the analysis of integrations, interfaces, and data flows.
• Demonstrable experience in solution architecture, if available.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Databricks, OT environments, and/or the EIS business, if available.
