Project Environment

For a public sector client, we are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer. You will further develop an existing web-based specialist application both functionally and technically. The basis for this will be tickets that you will work on in sprints together with the client's internal project team.

Framework Data

• Start: expected beginning of 2027
• Duration: 1 year, with an option to extend by up to three more years
• Scope: approx. 100 person-days per year, approx. 8 days per month
• Location: approx. 80% remote, 20% on-site in Munich
• Work equipment: will be provided by the client

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate functional and technical requirements
• Design solutions within an existing system architecture
• Develop and extend functions of a Java-based web application
• Adapt and further develop existing software components
• Analyze and further develop interfaces, also convert to WebServices
• Design and develop unit tests
• Analyze and fix errors, perform technical tests
• Create technical documentation and hand over functions for acceptance
• Independently process tickets in sprints (JIRA), in coordination with the client's project manager

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Java Software Developer, including at least one major project with an effort of at least 5 developer years. The project should be no more than 5 years old.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with each of the following technologies, each within the last 2 years: Eclipse or IntelliJ, JSF/PrimeFaces (MVC), JUnit, Hibernate, JPA, MS SQL Server, Maven, and WebServices (SOAP/REST)
• At least 2 years of experience in IT projects in the public sector, within the last 5 years
• Experience in a project team of at least 3 people for at least 6 months
• German language skills at least at level C1
