Lead Enterprise Data Architect

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for support in building an Enterprise Data Architecture:

Task:

Responsible leadership for the development of an Enterprise Data Architecture, together with the business departments. We are looking for a person who manages the project and develops the content themselves. The project runs in three phases:

• Target State: Business Alignment, inventory of the system landscape, architectural approach (Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, or Data Fabric), target data model, technology selection, migration strategy
• Pilot: Design and Proof of Concept on a representative business process (including MDM, metadata and data lineage, security design)
• Roadmap: Business Case and rollout plan as a decision proposal for the Governance Council

Requirements

Framework conditions:

• Demonstrably at least one comparable project as a project manager at a company like our client's (international industrial manufacturer with a developed SAP landscape, PLM/CAD, MES, CRM; ideally commercial vehicle construction, automotive, or mechanical engineering)
• Sound expertise in data architecture, data modeling, integration including IoT/telematics data, MDM, and data governance (DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000, GDPR)
• Hands-on mentality: delivers results themselves, not just management
• Manufacturer-neutral
• Fluent German and English
• Start: as soon as possible
• Duration and workload: to be agreed with the client, expected to be at least 6 months
• Location: workshops on-site at the client's premises, otherwise remote by arrangement
• Tools: Jira and Confluence
